Gnoll

At first glance, Gnolls of Crudilex look like what one might expect: humanoid hyenas. However, through closer inspection, one can see the eternal fire burning in their eyes, betraying the truth that they are, in fact, undead. Gnolls are brought to life by the fire, their souls made manifest, that burn within their skulls. This magic fire animates a skeleton around itself, and over time, flesh grows from the skeleton, like a tree would grow bark. Because of this, when objects are impaled into them, the objects fuse into their bodies, becoming a part of them. Some cultures have even started doing so intentionally.
