The Riven

Referred to as the Children of the Forest, the Riven of Crudilex appear as fey or alien-like humanoids with frail builds and antlers. They are born as one of two kinds: the Blooded and the Unblooded, similar to the Seelie and Unseelie. Born from the Wounded Wild, they are personifications of nature's relationship with violence, one representing the hunter, and the other, their eternal prey.

Unblooded Racial Traits

Size: Your size is small

Speed: Your walking speed is 30 feet.

Prey’s Essence: You are magically bonded to a Blooded Riven and can psychically commune with their memories, recalling their experiences as if they were your own. During a long rest, you may select a skill to gain proficiency in. If you are already proficient in that skill, you gain expertise. This effect lasts until your next long rest.

In addition, when you do so, you may attempt to mislead your hunter, providing them with a carefully chosen memory. Doing so is an Intelligence saving throw (DC 10). On a success, you may select a location that your Blooded counterpart now believes you are in.

Unblooded Scenes: You have proficiency in the Acrobatics and Stealth skills

Flight Response:
As a bonus action, you can move up to your full speed away from an enemy of your choice that you can see or hear. You must end this move further from the enemy than you started.

Immortal: You do not age. Additionally, being struck down is not the end for an Riven. If you die, you burst into a cloud of red petals and awaken in a bed of flowers on another plane of existence, The Wounded Wild.
