Relentless Witness, The Blackiron Flagship
“Doom is too kind a word to describe the feeling this monstrosity impresses in me.” - Ida Holly
The skies grow dark as the great Ironclad flies over the city. Relentless Witness, the Blackiron flagship of the mad queen’s fleet, has already removed three entire populations from this world. Nothing can challenge it—not from outside the hull, anyway.
The creation of the Relentless Witness meant the end of the federalist revolution. Royalist soldiers rounded up every citizen in the free city of Saradross and forced them to build. And when their toil ended, the dark dreadnought emerged. Forged of blackiron, a material said to be completely indestructible, the flagship could hover above any city in Crudilex and bomb it out of existence. The only method by which the great airship is vulnerable at all is that it is piloted by mortal men.
This map is my second giant airship map. My setting of Crudilex has a lot of airships and ironclads, and so I wanted to make a few that were the tarrasques of the skies, such as this one! The Relentless Witness, which in my home game only flew for 6 rounds before the players dive-bombed it into the side of a mountain, where it still rests to this day, a permanent feature of my setting! Good thing too, because it was said to be completely indestructible.
