The Shifting Dungeon serves as tomb, temple, and trial all in one. Heroes navigate the bridge across the chasm’s river to prove themselves in the eyes of the ancestors buried there.

The central bridge hangs hundreds of feet above a roaring underground river. Suspended by chains a large wooden wheel is rotated- through no small effort- to drive the bridge along the chains up and down the drop. Throwing the four switches, all protected by an undead guardian grants the heroes access to the chamber of the ancestors where their bodies are housed and their spirits can freely manifest. It is only then will they be faced with their final test.

This map is the second in a series I'm starting exploring the idea of fully mapped out dungeon- phased maps. I'm trying to explore what all can be done with a whole dungeon space that changes while the players are inside of it- I have a few more ideas but I think this one is really gonna shine!
