The deepest dungeons have the worst upkeep. The teetering bridge wasn’t even one of the many intended traps.
The ancient guardian stood vigil over the bridge for 1000 years. Unmoving awaiting the swordsmen who would at last be worthy and defeat it, releasing it from this undead eternity. Sadly when at last a group of challengers approached their weight crumbled the old brittle mortar. Perhaps the lich should have had some undead eternal masons to serve alongside the blade master… would have been nice to have company too… oh well.
This map is inspired by the awesome action set piece sword fights from movies like the pirates of the Caribbean where the environment is as much one of the combatants as the fighters themselves. I wanted to do the teetering platform trope, and the fight on the bridge trope and smash them together!
